When i was in 8th grade I dissected a frog and a owl pellet. and has the choice to dissect a pig, but I didn’t. and another thing was a squid. It was really interesting all of them. so that’s what I think is appropriate for 8th graders. Have fun!

  3. Peter says:

Cook a hot dog with a parabolic reflector.
Do a vortex experiment with water and food coloring(it won’t win, but it’s an idea).
Build a battery out of two different types of metals and salt water.
Put two electrodes in a saturated salt water solution, hook it up to a battery, turn on the juice, drop a plastic army man in the solution for a few seconds and watch him melt!

howstuffworks.com is a good science website.
